On July 2, 2024, engineers from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) visited the United Human Services Center farm in Chicago as part of an initiative to promote sustainable agriculture and strengthen international collaboration.

During the visit, the USDA team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the farm’s operations, including crop production processes, irrigation methods, and soil management practices. The engineers engaged directly with local farm personnel, providing technical insights and recommendations aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

The visit also highlighted the farm’s commitment to producing high-quality, natural produce such as African garden egg, watermelon, pepper, and okra, while contributing to community development and food security.

This engagement marked an important step in fostering partnerships between the United States and Nigeria in the areas of agriculture, innovation, and capacity building. United Human Services Center remains dedicated to implementing global best practices to enhance its impact both locally and internationally.
